Doritos a brand usually known for its outlandish commercials and various food options often generates a lot of buzz with their commercials. Doritos usually hosts contest for amateur videographers to release their own homemade commercials. Particularly many of them appear on Superbowl ads generating popularity amongst the American population. Online Doritos creates a digital platform for audience members to interactively create commercials and vote on which commercial is their favorite. The immense presence of humor in commercials is a big hit for the brand. However, there are things that can be improved in the digital space for this brand. Doritos can incorporate a digital campaign to vote for new chip flavors. Much like their partner Lays Potato Chips with online voting for new chip flavors. Overall the Doritos effect creates a lot of good publicity digitally and I can’t wait to see more of their interactive ad campaigns.
